Ford Pick-UpFord Pickup Trucks - 1948 thru 1979
1948 was the year that Ford introduced the "F" prefix for use in designating the load capacity of its lighter duty trucks. The 1/2 ton was called an F-1, the 3/4 ton truck was referred to as an F-2 and the F-3 designation meant a one ton carrying capacity Pickup. The "F" series continued through F-8 for heavy duty trucks.

Are all the vacuum lines restored to original connectors? Any one could cause leak to make engine run poorly, usually hunting for stable idle speed when this happens, of course be certain electrical connections are all tightly clipped together. You should recheck this leak before dropping the trans, although with all the screws recently out it will go faster than the first time, those leaks can drive you nutz sometimes. Once you get the leak fixed and still running poorly head to a parts store for a scan from the computer and study the codes to dissolve anything you may have had trouble with recently before the major work was opened up.
