I had a hard time believing that a speaker could reproduce the radio transmission produced by the key fob, communicating with the secuirty computer, and unlocking the doors.

I never bothered to try it, as a result.

Well, that and my keyfob needs to be 3ft from the car to use it...

Though, in saying that if I had tried it, it likely wouldn't have been an accurate test because between the weak battery and the unknown range of the phone, haha.

Trusting in snopes and CS on this, as opposed to an actual test.
