2005 Escape XLS

Hi, just to share the mods i did to my escape recently and loving it.

1) Roof Lights (4 x hella 450)
2) Rear Light (1 x hella 450)
3) Front Lights (4 x hella 500)
3) 3 inche lift (with proper suspension upgrade)
4) Undercarriage skid plate for protection of AT gearbox
5) Side Step to double up as mini rock slider (not as strong as intended but i'll do for now)
6) 245/75/16 Falken All Terrain Rubber

I joined a local 4x4 club and have not looked back since. Althought our Escape is not a true hardcore offroad rig, but with some proper modifications and risk assessment, we can still have some bit of fun with the right attitude !

Sorry but i have limited photos to share simply because most of the time when we are going through trails, we seldom stopped for photo shoots unless overcoming obstacles. Will post more in future.

Where did you get the skid plate ? Most of the ones I have seen are for "show" and will not protect the engine or trans from rocks !

Hi, sorry for the late reply as i seldom logon to check my own posting.
I imported the skid plate from taiwan. google "ford escape giz international" should give you some links to the website.

The plate is pretty solid i must say, many times i have encountered loud knocks on the bottom and upon inspecting...large cuts could be seen on the skid plate...at least it's doing it's job..lol..its also very heavy...1 person would need to exert quite a bit to carry it and would need at least 2 person to install.....
