Ford ProbeThe Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.
my name is gene i live in the mid western united states. i purchased a ford probe about 5-6 years ago for a price of 900.00. at the time the car ran great, well i the last few years i have replaced the alternator, fuel filter, transmission filter, etc. well i am now in process of replacing the transmission filter... only one problem... i have no clue where it is. if somebody can give a an idea as to where it is. i would surely appreciate it. i have purchased the filter and fluid but i am not sure where the filter is to be placed or at all located. any help would be very appreciated.
from what i have looked at on my 95 probe you have to take the trans apart to change the filter. which is a design flaw in my book! You have a CD4E trans my guess maybe that will help in your search
