Ford ProbeThe Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.
I'm having trouble pulling my front disks. I removed the two Phillips screws (with difficulty) and can't get either rotor to start sliding. I have the Haynes book which isn't the best. Am I missing something?
You removed the calipers, right? After that they should just slide straight out, I believe.

remove the two bolts that hold the caliper onto the spindle, lift the caliper off the disk, use something to hold the caliper (do not just let it hang). after doing these things, the caliper should come right off. if it is not coming off, it may be rusted to the hub. try hitting the disk from the back with a rubber mallet. hit the part pointing front the hit the part pointing rear. I had this happen on one side of my zx2 and this took care of it.
good luck, I hope this helps.
