Ford Probe The Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.

Default 89 Probe stalls when warm

my '89 2.2 Auto. Probe starts and runs fine when cold, but as soon as it reaches normal operating temp it stalls as soon as you lift your foot off the gas. It will restart but only if you press down on the accel. pedal and keep it running above 2000rpm. any less and it quits which makes it a nightmare to drive. A "mechanic" suggested that I should try another throttle body, I did but there is no difference. Any ideas will be gratefully recieved.
Thanks.

Default

check your throttle pos sensor and your mass air flow sensor. when checking your mass air flow sensor, you not only have to check the sensor it'self but the air intake following after the sensor.
