Ford Probe The Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.

Hello, I had bought a 93 GT I 6 months ago..... pretty much a nightmare to pull the transmission codes as the 93 and 94 probes are pre OBD II codes and use the old ford EEC IV system, nobody has this old software anymore -you can read the engine codes with the OBD II scanner but not the trans. I will get back to you tomorow as you can jump the pins (they are under the hood next to your fuse pannel ) and you will get error codes to flash the fault code on your dash on your O/D indicator. This should help out if you have any transmission faults. As for mine I am getting an 06 error code, wich is the speed sensor. I changed it twice and still no results so I am going to go through the wires and the connector clips to the speed sensor and on the TCM.
I will get back to you as soon as I can......good luck!!!!

Put a wire on your TAT pin and connect it to the ground pin, this will flash the error code on your O/D light in your dash.
good luck, drop me a pm if you have any more questions.
