Ford ProbeThe Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.
Hello my name is jared and i own a 95 ford probe 2.0 liter 4 cylinder. My check engine light is on and the car idles poorly if at all, and is even worse once the car warms up. I have bought a chilton and a trouble code puller books and still have not figured out how to pull the code. THere is no ten pin on the diagnostics panel under the hood on the driver side, and the books i own outline grounding the ten pin on the 2.5L v-6 which i do not have. I cannot find an OBD-1 scanner for my ford (which is really a mazda). can anyone tell me how to pull the code or what model number OBD-1 scanner i need if applicable?? thanks a lot, jared.
