Ford Probe The Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.

Default 1994 probe overdrive wont work
hi, there need some help with my overdrive, the light says off but the the button does not respond.can anybody help me with my problem,ithank you for your help

Mine also doesn't shut off (overdrive always kicks in), im fairly sure this switch has only one wire (grounding process to switch it on/off) i haven't looked at mine yet to verify but it also mite be that the wire i see has something to do with the light n the switch...

But my plan is to dismantle the shifthandle top part to see exactly whats inside and if maybe the switch its self is broken or dirty, i dont know if this switch has a fuse in it or in line so....its a start...

Yea, mine don't work eather, but only after I took the shifter apart did it not work.

You can always try and rewire it...or take it apart like said and see if the connection needs cleaned
