Ford ProbeThe Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.
In my '96 Ford Probe SE the OD light will flash at random times and I don't ever touch the Overdrive button. I then shut off my car and turn it back on and it is fine. I know that it is not my tranny because I just replaced that and it is working fine but I dont know what else it could be. My car also did not come with an owners manual so I have no way of looking it up. HELP ME????? IM SO CONFUSED!!!
hey - also asked a mechanic friend of mine... he said you may have not put the right tranny in the car or that certain wires or whatever arent connected right... may want to have a ford tech look it over double check the tranny make sure its compatible and that everythings connected...
