Ford Probe The Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.

Post Check Engine Light; Code 1056

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I've gotten on here a few times in the past to help with my '97 probe, and I've found it very helpful.

So here I am now, hoping that maybe y'all can help me out with my problem. I have a check engine light on, and whenever I had the code pulled, it comes up 1056. I'm not exactly sure what this code is, but everytime I erase it out, it'll come back on about three or four days later.
I've also noticed that right below the air intake manifold there's a little nozzle (I guess that's what you would call it, I'm really not sure) that looks like it should have a hose attached to it...but it doesn't! There's, if I'm not mistaken, coolant on the outside of the "nozzle," but like I said, I'm not positive what exactly it is.

Please help me try and figure out what this could be so I could fix it! Thanks!!!
