Ford Probe The Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.

Could be dirty, worn, sticky linkage. Could be dirty throttle body. Try some spray carb. cleaners, spray off any crud build-up and then put lite oil on linkages and throttle cable. Window regulaters - ebay, or an auto glass shop.
GOOD LUCK

I would give everything a visual inspection first. Clean up things manually, then see what happens.

I agree with TAZ, check your throttle cable and linkage.
It wouldn't be clutch related.

You can try listening with a mechanics stethoscope, or even a long screwdriver held to your ear to help narrow it down. Remember THINK SAFETY! No hoodies, loose clothing, long hair, or jewelry that can get caught in moving machinery.
