Ford Probe The Probe appeared in 1988 and lasted until 1997 in the United States. It was based on a series of futuristic concept cars of the early 1980s, the likes of which have been seen in films like Judge Dredd, Back to the Future Part II and Total Recall. It was a coupe based on the Mazda GD platform, and was powered by a 2.2 L SOHC I4 cylinder Mazda F2 engine.

Default Fuel Cutout/ Always turns off

I have a 94 Probe and wheneven the car is running cold it will turn off when idleing. The car starts to shake pretty bad and then it shuts off and the fuel cutout light comes on. As long as im pressing on the gas the car will run, or after it has been running for fifteen mins.

HAHAHAHA, I FOUND WHAt was wrong with it. Well THANKS TO THIS BAD ASS WEBSITE, i found info on a recurring problem with Probes, the ignition module. see this things come inside of the distributor (on v-6, five speed manual) with the coil, after reading that one of the things that could be wrong was it, i took mine out, and pulled it all apart, specially since its in the 200 to 300 dollar range at the auto parts store (good luck at the junk yard), after pulling it apart it wire about to break from its soldering spot from the module to a small squarish thing that i think its a capacitor, anyhow, i soldered it back on right, and it fixed the problem, ohh yeah the module its the 3 prong connection that plugs to the distributor top.
