Michael,

Assuming the Ranchero is a 6cyl., it will have coil spring over "A" arm front suspension inside shock towers that invade the engine compartment limiting the size engine that can be put in its place. The rear is a live axle with 2 leaf springs and a 7 1/4 inch non-removable carrier differential. I have heard of early Falcons being "bagged" if that is the direction you are heading.

What are the best forums for rancheros? I just bought a 60 and 63 and am sure that I am going to need wisdom from the great ones. Any ideas?

One thing to note, especially if you want to do a V-8 conversion, the only difference between a 63Falcon suspension and a 65-66 Mustang is the drag-link. Makes your parts easier to come by and updates easier....and your 60 will fit all of the latter suspensions. Have fun!

A great forum for the Falcon Ranchero is "TFFN".

Other Falcon forums can be found by checking on the "Falcon Club of America"
website.
