Clifford performance has put full race 300's in round body falcons/rancheros. 9 second 1/4 mile times! i have a 60 and a 64. the 60 is getting a 170 built specifically for saving fuel/ daily travel. my 64 has a 170. no need for both to be setup that way. i was going to put a 300 in the 64, but have decided to go with a built 250 instead. a little easier to get under the hood and on the mounts. a little lighter too, especially with an fspp aluminum head. i figure 250+ hp will be good enough with a 5 spd. not going to drag race, just want to be able to tow my decoys or a small camper across the midwest or over our mountain passes. if you do the 300, let us know how it turns out. |
