Ford RancheroThe Ford Ranchero was a coupe utility produced between 1957 and 1979 based on full-size, compact and intermediate automobiles by the Ford Motor Company for the North American market. Variations based on the original 1960 US Falcon for home markets in Argentina and South Africa were produced through the late 1980s. A total of 508,355 units were produced.
I've got transmission questions about my 1962 Ranchero and could use a little help. The Ranchero has the stock 170 ci motor w/ the 3 speed transmission which has been converted to floor shift and works fine. I bought the truck about five weeks ago and actually just got it inspected yesterday. Question is, I want to install a five speed transmission the simplist and least exspensive way possible. Can anyone offer any help with suggestions on bell housing, T-5 or any suggestions or comments to help speed up the research of what does and dosn't work or match up. Thanks for any help - Roush_fan
