Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

Exclamation 96 xlt airbag problems

So today I was on my way to work when i noticed my airbag sensor blink for a minute or two then go off for a few minutes then stay lit up. i went to autozone and they said to fix the airbag sensor it would be around 1,500. Now i am not going to attempt to mess with the wiring or the sensors. I am debating 1 of 2 things 1. getting it fixed or 2. getting a new truck. But my truck is a 1996 XLT 3.0 v6 4 spd auto with 101,345 on it now see the hard part is that the mileage is low for that year/model so any advice would be helpful thanks. Also I am not driving the truck because I dont want some ass whose not paying attention to send me into a pole with no airbags. In the meantime im driving my girlfriends 1995 explorer. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Count the blinks and it will give you a code. The air bag module may be bad and I highly doubt it is a sensor since they consist of a magnet and steel marble but it doesnt hurt to check their connections. Go to a Junkyard and get a used airbag computer module, cheaper than new.

I don't get it why people always expect a old vehicle that breaks down to always be covered under some warranty?

If your exhaust tip is larger than your cylinder bore, then you are a Ricer.
