Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

if you buy your DPFE from advanced auto, don't anymore. the reason they only cost 45 dollar is because they are total junk. go to napa or ford and buy the sensor.

I like your thinking.

I'll hook you up with a DPFE for a hell of a deal.

a good test to see if the egr valve has insufficient flow is to start the engine, remove the vacuum line on top of the egr valve, go get a spare vacuum line and create your own vacuum with your mouth. if the valve is working you should be able to stall the engine. if you can't stall the engine replace the egr valve if you can then you ether have a bad evr, dpfe or a wiring problem. if it shows excessive flow you should see a decrease in power, rough idle and poor fuel economy. but most likely it is the dpfe because they are the weakest link of the egr system
