Ford RangerMore than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.
i have a 94 ranger 2.3 4 twin manual single cab with 160,000 miles. Just wondering if a manual has a clutch ignition switch and if so how do i bypass it. also wondering how to bypass the inertia switch.
There's also a fuel pump fuse and relay under the hood, which provide power to the fuel pump via the inertial switch. If you have power going into the switch, but not out, try reseting the switch, otherwise the switch is probably bad. If power is coming out of the switch and you can't hear the pump priming up (buzzing/whiring sound from fuel tank) when you first turn on the ignition (don't try to start it), then the pump is probably bad.
If the truck is cranking, with the clutch depressed, then the clutch safety switch is operating fine.

I would also like to know how to bypass the clutch safety switch. A couple different mornings my truck wouldn't start. I had to remove the switch and clean and regrease it. This is a tremendous hassle to do when I am suppose to be on my way to work.
Lotta help this place is. I know I could buy a friggin new switch and I know how to buy one if that is what I wanted. I asked how to bypass it. If you can't help me then don't reply with stupid answers.
I am not going to tell you how to bypass a safety device on your car cause you wont fix your vehicle correctly. If it is such a hassle because your switch has failed and you constantly have to clean and grease it maybe you are too cheap just to buy a new one.
On that note...... LOCKED!
