93 ford ranger wont start

hello all, Itested the fuel pump and it pumps fuel, Replaced the relay under the hood, with a new one, and It still wont start, I have good fire. I used to hear the fuel pump turn on when the key was turned on and now I hear nothing. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

how did you test the fuel pump? put the old fuel pump relay back in and then start it. check simple things first such as both fuel pump fuse and relay, e.e.c. relay. check the inertia switch, it might need reseting. if it does not fire up after that try starter fluid.

you need to check fuel pressure when fuel pumps start to go bad they will pump fuel but not enough pressure. should be somewhere around 50 psi check for proper specs,

Did you check for spark at the plugs?

How about the timing belt?You never said what actually happened to the vehicle.

ok, Got it running today, and thanks everyone that offered there opion. I pulled the old fuel pump out, and put it to 12 volts, it pumped good, but I figured I have the new one so lets put it in, The truck started, i took it down the road and everything is good now. So just because it looks like its pumping good, dont mean it is and its was the original fuel pump and the truck have 300,000 miles on it, so now shes on the road again.
