Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

Default engine cutting out

Engine usually starts easily. After warm up while running at lower rpms cutting out begins. I've cleaned the contacts on the fuel relay mount and replaced the relay.
It only appears to do this at lower rpms things get better after I down shift(5 speed stick-2wd). It's a 3 litre
1994.
I've put in new plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, fuel relay, removed the guts from the catalytic converter and
put injector cleaner in the tank.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks---Wayne

Default I just fixed my 94 ranger

I just fixed my 94 ranger today, I had the same problem. I Had to prop something against the gas pedal until it warmed up or it would die, I went and got a new fuel filter and new spark plugs and installed them, now my truck starts right up and idles fine.

Wayne, I suggest you get a Code Scanner so you can read what trouble codes the computer is storing. Easy to use and not very expensive. I got mine at Sears for about $35. Might save lots of time and money. Good luck, Jim
