| | Guest | 1990 4 banger shorts at start up - sometimes I have a 1900 4 cyl. Sometimes on startup the whole truck seems to short out. Even the time on the radio is reset. It will take a jump real well and even a clutch pop will work. Next day it starts fine. I took it to my mechanic and he replaced the battery. It starts strong when it starts but I still have the problem. Now he says it’s the starter. I get the problem mostly if I have the truck out and I have to stop a couple of times. 3rd of 4th start is when I seem to have the problem. | |
