Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

Unhappy 2001 Ford Ranger MPG Increase
What is the best product out there that will give me better mpg? im averaging around 245-250 miles a tank, if im correct with a 17 gallon gas tank, im only getting 14.5mpg. i found this product called the vortec cyclone that is put in your air intake hose that could give you anyware from 2mpg increase up to a 30% increase. What should i do? the vortec is only $50 w/shipping. there is a guy on the site that states he had an 00' ranger that went from 18mpg to 24mpg.....

its garbage, check it out in popular mechanics, they did a road test with it, total garbage.

Try tuning your truck up first, driving 50, and keeping an eye on your tire pressure. You'll probably see larger gains like that.

What about the Freeway? sjpuld i just take the highway in to town? i go 70mph on the freeway, and 50 mph on the highway....
