Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

I don't have a double din in my 09 Ranger, just a single din Kenwood. I got the dash kit from Crutchfield, so it has a small pocket for the extra space.

Anyways, I went to the local Pull A Part yesterday and found a cheap Ford OEM stereo. Removed the stereo, and took the face plate portion off and the buttons as well. Got the buttons glued on now, so it looks totally normal. Just gotta figure out a way to stick the phoney face plate to my truck for when I park it. I was thinking somehow velcro it in place...

The best part was the guy didn't even charge me for the stereo piece!

How much did you get that deck for ? I have a 01 ranger edge and I was hoping to do something like that. what amp are you running ? Looks good man.

Hello, I have a 2003 ford ranger and I plan to put in a double din Kenwood head unit in my truck soon. I was searching the internet looking for information on how to do it. That's how I came upon this thread. Thanks for the good information. All I need is a Dremel tool or something, and a double din kit.
