Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

Question 1990 ford ranger wont start, horrible grind sound like its already started.

I have had the truck for about 3 weeks, it has always started a little rough; with a loud gritty sound. One night it stalled at a light and when I went to start it again it wouldn't turn over, it just make that high pitch squeel (the sound it makes when you doing hear your car running so you try to start it again.), I found I could get it started if I grabbed one of the belts and pulled until the pullys to the belts or what ever they are, moved a bit, Then it would start right up. However, one day it just seemed to drive different, I can't put my finger on how, maybe a bit louder than usual, so I checked the oil but it was fine. Later, after quickly going to a store , I went to start the truck and it would not start, it made a gritty attempt that immediatly turned into that high pitch, metal slipping, squeel. . PLEASE SOMEONE HELP, Thank You!
