Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

Default front end alignment 01 ranger 4x4 4.0

My ranger has a bad ball joint and the alignment is way out but I don't have any money to fix the ball joint (or even pay bills right now) Is there any way to adjust the camber to get it closer than it is now (it is basically riding on the inside inch or two of the tires and wearing fast) Looks about like this / \ I need to make these tires last until I can fix the ball joint.

Can anybody tell me how to adjust the camber? It doesn't have to be perfect just closer than it is now.

Brian

If it is that bad you are setting yourself up for a much bigger bill when the ball joint fails entirely and you loose control of your truck !

I doubt that your ball joints are so worn as to drastically affect the camber settings of your wheels. Newer Rangers come from the factory with lots of negative camber built in, and that's probably what you're noticing. Unfortunately negative camber does wear out the insides of the tires quicker, and about all you can do about it is to keep your tires rotated (fronts to back and vice-versa) on a regular basis.
