Ford RangerMore than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.
All Heat /AC functions seem to work fine with the exception of this.
With the fan OFF and the selector switch OFF, air in coming in from the lower vent.
The faster I drive, more air comes in.
(And, I am able to adjust the temperature of the air coming out the temp control).
What's strange is that when either window is opened, the volume of the air coming through lower vent increases a LOT.
Note: The window air is NOT getting to the bottom vent but apparently is causing a door to open further.
I'm lost. I have replaced the vacuum accumulator and also checks for vacuum leaks.
I don't know, is there supposed to be a small amount of air coming in the car through the lower vent when both controls are OFF?
