One of your courtesy lamp switches remains closed. They usually close to turn the dome lights on when you open the passenger or driver door. They are located close to the door hinges. One of them probably has dirt/grime/rust on it and closes the circuit.
Those could as well move back and forth as they should, but that doesn't mean that they could not be defective. Unless you have an alarm system that is tapped into that, and is defective or some really strange power short, (which IMO it's a pretty slim chance), the power goes up there only through the door switches. Put a continuity tester or an ohm meter on them to verify that they actually close and open the circuit.
