Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

Default 86 ford ranger wont start

On my way to work the other day the radio cut off then went my dash board lights then when I turned the headlights off the truck just died out. Well I took the alternator and the starter up to advance and they checked them and both where bad. So i got new ones and a new starter silioned and battery. Well now it will turn over but will not fire. I do notice that the fuel pump stays on when i turn the key on. I didn't notice it staying on before but never really listened for it. I don't know how to get the lines off of it to change it out it has some kind of plastic device I can't get to disconnect. I don't know if thats even the problem but it has got to be either fuel or spark now. Any suggestions its a 2.3l?
