Ford RangerMore than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.
I have a 2003 Ford Ranger 2.3. It runs great most of the time but every now and then, I will get in it and it is hard to start, like it is flooded. Once I get it started it runs fine. It doesn't do this every time I start it. Any ideas?
For a good basic understanding of those parts, and how they work see. Ford Fuel Injection

This same 2003 Ranger has a shake at around 65 mph. It feels like the tires are out of balance but I just had them balanced. At any other speed the ride is smooth. What may this be?

Are the tires cold? If you're in a cold climate and go straight to 65 mph after the vehcle has been sitting. Who did the balancing? Not all balancing is equal, depends on the tech who did it and the quality of the tools they use.
Could also be a funky bushing which is causing a shimmying problem. How bad is it?
It seems to do it no matter how long I have been driving. It has been anywhere from 20-65 degrees when it done it. Wal-mart done the balancing. It is just bad enough to be aggravating.
