Hello,
I've got an 1984 Ford Ranger that was given to me, I figured I'd fix it up as a project. It's got a 4 cylindar engine. When I got it, it had a blown head, I was told that it had been driven up until the head blew.
I had the head machined and I put it back on. So far, I've replaced the Alternator, Distributer cap and roter, spark plugs, coil, starter relay, and battery and rebuilt the carborator. I've replaced all the belts (timing belt included) and most of the hoses.
When I attempt to start the engine, the starter rotates the engine, but I get no ignition. I've verified the timing and it's set correctly. I've verified that I've got spark at each spark plug. Gas is getting pumped to the carborator.
I've tried starter fluid as well, but still no joy.
If someone could point me in the right direction as what to do next I would appriciate it. If this were a computer, it would be fixed a long time ago.
Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.
