1997 Ranger starting issues intermittingly goes dead ?

1997 Ranger starting issues intermittingly goes dead ?
I have a 97 ranger 2wd 4cyl 5speed
Problem occers when trying to start, It will intermittenly go completly dead no power. Cycle the ignition and it will regain full power and start. No codes come and batttery is at 12.88v, happens around every 10th start. Any ideas?? Thanks
