Ford Ranger More than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.

Angry ranger windshield leak

Hey guys, I have a friend with an 06 ranger 4x4. He has water puddling in the driver side floorboard for the last month when it rains. Is he going to have to get the windshield resealed or does anyone know of a "magic" trick that he could try. It is not coming from the ac because he hardly ever uses it and it only happens when it rains. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a windshield, could also be a roof seam. If the vehicle is under warranty, let ford worry about it.

Be prepared for a nightmare !

To do it properly, the windshield will have to removed. No shop will remove a windshield and guarantee that they won't break it in the process. Be prepare for it to break. $$$

You might have to buy an entire new seal. Also $$$

If it has been leaking for this long, there is probably rust in the track. It will have to be sanded/ground and possibly welded. Definitely a pro job. demand that they use an epoxy sealer/primer before re painting. More $$$$ !
