I had the same problem you had. The truck would buck, not run right, stall. Hard to start. I thought it was a fuel problem as well. I even changed the fuel pump and sending unit. It also would not read the fault codes with the code reader. It did have a bad sending unit. Anyway, I started to lean to the computer as the problem. So I pulled it and inspected it, by pulling the cover off and I saw some bad components on the circuit board. 3 capacitors looked like they were bad. I replaced them and that took care of my problem. It runs like night and day now. I have a 1993 Ford Ranger withe a 4.o engine and it is a 5 speed. The code reader reads the codes now, now that the computer is working properly. |
