Air Conditioner/Power Steering Pump Bracket Removal
Ford RangerMore than two decades ago, the Ford Ranger debuted as an answer to various compact pickup trucks being made available by Japanese automakers. The Ranger was cleanly styled and offered with a choice of a 6-foot or 7-foot bed. Ford boasted that the Ranger had more interior room than the best-selling imports and that 4-by-8-foot construction material could be carried in the bed.
Air Conditioner/Power Steering Pump Bracket Removal
I have a '98 Ford Ranger with a 2.3L/Manual/AC/PS/PB. The timing belt broke but that is not my greatest concern. The air conditioner and power steering are mounted to a bracket with an idler pulley that extends over the timing belt cover. I have backed out the power steering pump bolts until they are snug against the pulley. Trying to get to the bolts that hold the bracket to the engine block. Am I going to have to pull the pulley off the pump or is there an easier way? This engine has the serpentine belt to drive the water pump, power steering, ac, etc.
