Also to point this out, yes if you had no oil pressure you would know it. And you would know it faster then waiting the 3 minutes for the guage to activiate. I have been driving my 01 like this for the past 4 years and havent thought twice about fixing it. I also noticed that it really doesnt depend on time for it to activate as it does matter how cold the engine is. If my engine has been running recently or during the hot summer months, the guage activates immediately. However during the cold canadian winters

it sometimes takes upwards of ten minutes to activate. This isnt something I would worry to much about but if you have the time and the money, go for it
