Ford Sport Trac The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a four-door, five-passenger, midsize pickup. It was unique when it first appeared in 2000, but today it must compete with midsize four-door pickups from every major player. Essentially a Ford Explorer with a pickup bed, the Sport Trac offers plenty of room inside for people and out back for cargo.

Default 2001 sport trac all power windows not working

I'm looking at a 2001 sporttrac. All power windows don't work. I didn't have a fuse diagram today. I tried a test lighton fuses while still in fuse panel. I couldn't get many of them to light up.But some would lightup every time. Anyone know the exact number for power window fuse. He had to leave so I'll look at it tommorrow. I've searched like7 pages already. I tried different door switches like driver door and driver side rear door. It didn't seem to have power at the switch. He does have a keyfob.Don't see power windows listed on fuse location chart. Anyone know for the inside cab fuse panel?

All power windows are inoperative
Possible Sources
Battery junction box (BJB) fuse 12 (30A).
Central junction box (CJB) fuse 20 (7.5A).
Circuitry.
Generic electronic module (GEM).
Battery saver relay.
Driver window control switch.

You can download an owners manual here:

Below illustrations are of the Aux relay panel 2 where the battery saver relay resides.

Be aware that there is a Job 1 and a Job 2 model in 2001 and there are quite a few differences. Easy way to tell which you're looking at is the instrument cluster. Job 1 black gauges, Job 2 white gauges.

NCRanchero,
Nice post!

gixxer,
Somewhat often the windows are on a circuit breaker type fuse.

He still has an active ad online but telling me he doesn't have cash to fit it> I was laid off work recently so I was just doing it for something to do, and if he paid he paid, if not oh well.

Sometimes you can swap relays around from one position to another. if the problem follows the relay... well

Test a relay by looking at the diagram of the relay, usually on the side of it. The relay has a coil side, positive and negative, and a switch side, off and on. Apply voltage and ground to the coil side and check the switch side with an ohm meter to make sure it closes. Simple.
