slow to start, sport trac Recently purchased a 2001 Sport Trac, so I have no past history with this vehicle, had a bad engine, replaced it with a low mileage engine out of another 2001 sport trac. When the vehicle has set overnight starts normal, fuel pump comes on fuel pressure goes up to 75psi and then drops but truck starts fine. After it is driven awhile and sits, the fuel pump does not seem to kick back on until you crank the engine enough for the oil pressure to come up then the fuel pressure kicks up and the truck will start and runs normal with with around 78psi of fuel pressure. Is this normal for this vehicle, seems like an excessive crank time, around 5- 6 seconds before it will start. |
