Ford Sport Trac The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is a four-door, five-passenger, midsize pickup. It was unique when it first appeared in 2000, but today it must compete with midsize four-door pickups from every major player. Essentially a Ford Explorer with a pickup bed, the Sport Trac offers plenty of room inside for people and out back for cargo.

Default 08 Adrenaline trans issues

Hey people i have an 08 that when you stop then hit the gas to start moving again the motor revs up about 300 rpm then it feels like the truck wants to move it didnt always do this. Ford claims this to be normal im calling bull on it we had an issue this winter when it down shifted into first it would do so hard enough to stop the tires from turning. had a reflash done and its done this ever since. Any others out there have a trans issue with the sport tracs

Oh and this truck is driven by my wife with my baby son in the back its not like im 16 trying to prove how fast it is

Any time the engine accelerates and, with the transmission in gear, the vehicle does not accelerate, either the brakes are dragging or there is a problem with the transmission.

Take it to a different dealer. Document everything. You may need it in the future.

I don't know for sure but have you tried it with the traction control off ?? My 2010 seems to do a similar thing when leaving a stop sign turning left. Once strait its fine. At this time I'm not worried about it. I a strait line its fine.
