yeah, they're usually held in there with "tamper-proof" torx screws (reg. torx screw w/ a "post" in the middle). you can buy bits to remove these. you can also get actual mass air flow sensor cleaner in a spray can to avoid touching the sensor wires at all. i've done it both ways, but like bertha said, be very careful with the wires if you do use alcohol and a q-tip. i'm actually not surprised the idiots at autozone didn't suggest the maf cleaner considering the code that they found. for the o2 sensor, there are ways to test it, just do a search. or you can just say hell with it and replace them. fixing those items should clear the air/fuel ratio code.
