Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Default Transmission Fluid Leak

1996 Taurus GL 3.0L V6

Transmission fluid is leaking at front of car on passenger side. It must be one of the tran. cooling lines or fittings. However, when I go to order the part it lists upper inlet, lower inlet, lower outlet, etc. I can see where it's leaking, but I don't know which hose (upper, lower, inlet, outlet) that is. Is there an easy way to discern which hose it is.

I also have the same problem with leaking tranney fluid once the car heats up on a long drive but i am leaking antifreeze also .. appears to come from the back of the engine close to the tranney. are the two problems related ?
