Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

There sure is a lot of info on this thread!
I found it quite helpful on a tranny pull.

I was hoping to see the seal replacement process.

How did it go with that?

I have a 2000 Taurus. the dash control knob for changing airflow from defrost to floor, etc. still clicks between selections as always but the airflow does not change. Ford gets big $$ for this part of the dash that includes radio and climate controls. I haven't been able to locate a salvage one yet. Is that where my problem is? Could it be somewhere else?
