Ford TaurusAlong the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.
I replaced the thermostat; and it ran great for a day. Got into it today and shortly after the temp gauge went from normal to past high, like off the charts! The gauge likes to jump around and it appears to be quite random, but does make the fans kick on. It couldn’t be possibly that hot that quickly.
I’m wondering if anyone has run into this. Other things I noticed, the turn signals when blinking I could see the temp gauge tick at the same time. So I think it could be electrical. I’m thinking I will change the coolant temperature gauge.
