Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Default Can a 2001 Taurus be towed on all 4 wheels
Mistake, I know. I used our Taurus to tow a trailer weighing about 1500 lbs loaded about 300 miles, and blew the transmission. Can this car be towed safely on all 4 wheels? If not, can it be on a dolly with only 2 wheels, and if so, which 2 wheels must be off the ground? Or does it have to be carried on the back of a truck? I have a one ton dually that can definitely do the tow, and hoping against hope I don't have to hire a truck to tow me back home. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
