Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Default Rough Idle & rough shifting

I bought a 2002 Taurus yesterday. It ran fine untill I took it to the car wash to clean off the engine. Now it is ideling rough and sluggish when shifting also the check engine light is blinking. I figured water had gotten down into something and gave it the night to dry out. This morning it is still doing the same thing. Does anybody have any idea what I might have done?
