Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Before I forget.

The #16 fuse under the dash is the power drain when the car is sitting. It is the Flashers, GEM power, Integrated Control Power (ICP), RCC memory, Cluster.

Any one know what GEM, ICP , RCC and cluster do?

GEM - Generic Electronic Module
RCC - Remote Cluster Controller
Basically these control certain things in the vehicle, like the instrument cluster, door ajar key in and safety belt chimes, anti theft, electric windows wipers and locks, battery charging and more.

If after you replace the alternator you still have the same problems check the GEM module and circuit.
