Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

They make it sound so easy in the PDF... which doesn't take into account the incredibly large engine and other wires preventing access to the clamp attaching the hose to the piece by the radiator. Can we cut that clamp with a a saw?

If you are asking about the lower radiator hose, there is a small metal plate (3 screws) that needs to be removed to access the clamp.

If you're going to be doing this again, you should invest in a cable operated hose clamp remover. You slip the jaws over the spring clamp and squeeze the trigger. They cost around $25 and really save your bacon on these new clamps. BTW, you're supposed to RE-INSTALL the old spring clamps, rather than replace them with worm drive clamps. The spring clamps allow the hose to expand and contract without cracking the plastic nipple on radiators and coolant tubes. So cutting off the old spring clamp is now considered a no-no

There is a 3 way hose coupler at the top of my engine on my 1999 Ford Taurus. One hose has slipped off. If I do get it back in, how do you get it to stay in. NO CLAMPS. Never seen anything like this before.

Use a clamp even though it didn't come with one. The hose is held together with a crimp ring that has most likely failed.

Check the plastic "TEE" on that particular hose. That one broke on me this past summer on my '99 Taurus. The battery and the batter holder have to come out to replace that one unless you do from under the car.
