2002 Taurus front end noises I recently bought a 2002 Taurus that has a couple of noises from the front end. The first one is a clunking that searching the forum leads me to believe is caused by the sway bar bushings since I can see a gap between the bushing and the bar.
The second one is a vibration or rubbing sound that happens during suspension travel when I hit dips in the road. The frequency of the noise changes with vehicle speed. It kind of sounds like a tire rubbing, but it occurs in both directions of suspension travel (extension or compression) and I can't see any evidence of tire rubbing.
Any ideas on the second one? Thanks. |
