Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

Talking need to add air horns

Just wanted to know if anybody knew anything about wiring up some air horns on a new taurus. See I live in Alabama and the people don't drive like I do, good that is, so I have to use my horns the problem here is the stock horns just don't get the other drivers attention to understand so I need something that will really get there attention

Not for nothing, but "Airhorns" are illegal in some states. You best check with your locals, to see if they can be installed.

well they are only illegal in some states to use them, there not illegal to have them or to have them installed on your vehicle, just to use them in some states one of which is florida. But in al. I'm sure there fine to use and if not I still want them on my vehicle for good intentions not to be rude about the ways of using the horns.
The air horn is just to beef up your current horn, and if you really want to be technical about it , you could even look at it like a saftey aspect for some vehicles, now a days the current horn is just not doing the job and if its not doing the job than it would be basically serving no purpose on your vehicle. And today with all the vehicle its not legal to even sell a car without a horn, thats the same thing as selling a car with a horn that no one even notices and before you know it you've done got yourself into a reck because someone wasn't paying attention and you horn wasn't loud enough for them to here because maybe all the traffic around you or two, there music was to loud.

Check the Decibels on the horn you are looking to get, check your laws (There are lots of online sites - or call your local police department). Because others do it doesn't make it legal (that is key to remember). Good luck!
