Ford Taurus Along the way, Ford has made some 500 changes to the Taurus, changes that were already scheduled for the mid-cycle freshening of the Five Hundred. The general body shape of the new Taurus is the same as that of the previous Five Hundred, a large, front-wheel-drive family sedan, but almost everything else has changed for the better.

I would check the switch first, as this is the function of the switch

Also, which heater system do you have, manual or auto?

Angry 03 Ford Taurs

I'm having the exact same problem out of my Taurus. I can't seem to get any help from Ford but I was referred to two sites that helped me file complaints. Maybe if we all did this it would get some attention? One is the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration since you can't see if you are using the defrost and the other is a lawyer office.

IVOQ - File a Complaint

I'm also contacting the Attorney General's office to see if there is any help there as well.
